IBPS

"IBPS" stands for the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. It is an autonomous body in India that conducts recruitment exams for various public sector banks (except the State Bank of India). Here’s a quick overview:

🔹 What IBPS Does:

  • Conducts exams for recruitment to clerical, probationary officer (PO), specialist officer (SO), and regional rural banks (RRB) posts.
  • Facilitates online exams in multiple stages (Prelims, Mains, Interview).

🔸 Major IBPS Exams:

  1. IBPS PO – Probationary Officer
  2. IBPS Clerk – Clerical Cadre
  3. IBPS SO – Specialist Officer (IT, HR, Marketing, etc.)
  4. IBPS RRB – For jobs in Regional Rural Banks:
    • Office Assistant (Clerk)
    • Officer Scale I (PO)
    • Officer Scale II & III (Specialist & Senior Manager roles)

📅 Exam Cycle:

  • Notifications usually come between June–August.
  • Exams are held from August to December.
  • Interviews (if applicable) and final results by April next year.

📘 Eligibility (Basic):

  • Educational Qualification: A bachelor's degree.
  • Age Limit: Varies by post (usually 20–30 years for PO, relaxations apply).
  • Computer Literacy: Often required, especially for clerical posts.
