Shubhanshu Shukla is an astronaut affiliated with:

  • ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation)
  • NASA, ESA, Roscosmos, or any other space agency
  • The Gaganyaan Mission (India’s human spaceflight program)
  • Any private commercial astronaut program

Gaganyaan – India’s Human Spaceflight Program

ISRO has selected a few Indian Air Force test pilots for astronaut training, some of whom include:

  • Group Captain Prashanth Balakrishnan Nair
  • Group Captain Ajit Krishnan
  • Group Captain Angad Pratap
  • Wing Commander Shubanshu Shukla (Note the similar name spelling)

There is some media speculation about a Wing Commander Shubanshu Shukla being part of the training program in Russia under Gaganyaan, but this has not been officially confirmed by ISRO in press releases.
